Now in its 14th year, the Kistemaker Business Law Group (KBLG) Summer Internship program welcomes another new class of exceptional students! This very successful program is available to prospective law students looking to gain valuable legal experience and greater insight into the practice of real estate, business, condo/HOA, and construction law as well as landlord and tenant law.

Each of these exceptional legal interns brings a unique perspective and background to their studies as well as their internship at the Firm.

Jillian Norko is currently a student at the University of Miami, majoring in political science and communications with a minor in sports administration on the Pre-Law Track. Since her freshman year of high school she’s known she wanted to be a lawyer in order to pursue a career in Sports and Entertainment law. At the University of Miami, Jill is a proud member of the Phi-Alpha Delta Pre-Law fraternity, with involvement in Zeta Tau Alpha as well. Jill will be graduating a year early in hopes to attend law school directly after.

Isabella Lisowski is a first generation Polish-American from Ormond Beach, Florida. She’s an incoming senior majoring in behavioral neuroscience, with a minor in chemistry at Florida State University. Isabella is involved in psychological research, which has shaped her interest in the intersection of science, human behavior and the law. Upon graduation, she plans to work and gain more experience in the rapidly evolving fields of neuroscience and biotechnology – prior to attending law school.

“In these 14 years of the program, we feel proud to have had the opportunity to make a strong impact on the futures of these gifted students. We enjoy welcoming both new and familiar faces each year,” states Erum S. Kistemaker, Esq., the Firm’s Managing Attorney and Shareholder. Mackenzie Allen, a participant in Kistemaker Business Law Group’s Summer Internship program in 2025, was welcomed as the Firm’s new Law Clerk this past January.

The students have many opportunities for growth and education throughout their time at KBLG – they may participate in professional development workshops and are provided with opportunities to interact with the local legal community in addition to assisting in the day-to-day business of the Firm. They also receive an attorney mentor for the duration of the internship. Most of the Firm’s interns have gone on to pursue law degrees and are practicing attorneys.
